The second step in entering data into BayesFold is to check that the sequences and labels you entered in step 1 are correct. The input screen is shown below:

To check your data,
Examine the labels and sequences. Invalid sequences will have red text beneath them stating what is wrong with them. Make any necessary corrections.
Some alignment-generation programs, such as Pileup, may "pad" alignments with extra gaps at the ends of the sequences. The positions occupied by these gaps are never occupied by actual bases in any of sequence of the alignment. BayesFold automatically removes the unnecessary gaps; if such trimming has taken place, the sequences shown in this step may be shorter than those entered in step 1.
Click the "Validate" button. When the entered data passes validation, the "Continue" button will become active.
Click the "Continue" button to move to the final input step. In that step, you will have an opportunity to enter chemical mapping data.
If you want to start over, click the Clear button to discard all the data you have entered since step 1 and begin again.
