3. Changing the Viewed Sequence or Structure

One of BayesFold's most useful features is its ability to show any sequence in the alignment threaded through any predicted structure. The viewed sequence and structure can be selected either through the list boxes displayed below the structure drawing or through the data tables.

3.1. Changing the Viewed Sequence

Via the list box: Pick the desired label from the sequence list box as shown below.

Sequence List box

Via the table: Click the "Show" button for the Sequence Table. Then click the option button next to the desired sequence as shown below.

Sequence Table Selections

The contents of the current sequence box change to reflect the new sequence, and the letters on the structure drawing change appropriately. Any existing formatting on the drawing (such as mismatch coloring) will be automatically updated to reflect the change in the sequence.

3.2. Changing the Viewed Structure

Use the structure list box or structure table in the same fashion as described above in Changing the Viewed Sequence.

The contents of the current structure box change to show the dot-bracket representation of the selected structure, and the structure drawing changes appropriately.

Important

Note that existing formattings on the drawing are NOT automatically reapplied to the new structure. To reapply them, click the "Reapply Formats" button displayed next to the current structure box (see below).
